The Octologue Workshop teaches beginners how to create horizontally organized groups for any ethical purposes. Such groups (Octologues) are typically comprised of eight people with approximately equal numbers of men and women.
Octologue members are trained in the practical application of ethics, and agree to pursue an ethical purpose by ethical means. They are also committed to providing one another with feedback for the purpose of enhancing one another’s creativity and awareness.
Octologue group decisions are always unanimous, so there is no usage of majority rule – and hence, no coercion of some members by others. And all members have an equal say in the decisionmaking process. This feature eliminates bureaucracy.
