“Michelle received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi, and Master of Science in Nursing, from University of Texas Medical Branch- Galveston. Michelle spent more than 18 years in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). During that time, she worked as a transport nurse transporting sick and premature infants from outlying areas back to a large metroplex by ground and air transportation before becoming a nurse practitioner.

When Michelle was working a 24- hour shift in small, slower hospitals, she spent her days studying functional and integrative medicine. She also worked as a program coordinator for a very large functional medicine program for a large metropolitan area. Today, Michelle has received more than 2000 hours of continuing education in the area of functional, integrative, and traditional medicine, including blood lab analysis, stool studies, nutrition studies, hair studies, methylation pathway defects, autoimmune diseases, allergies and sensitivities, sensory disorders, autism, developmental delay, chronic diseases, hormone imbalance, and many others. Michelle now owns her own private practice, Wonderfully Made Wellness Sanctuary.

Michelle was a founding board member of Nurses Against Mandatory Vaccines and has spent the last 8 years educating, lobbying, and fighting for every person’s right for bodily autonomy and the right to choose what is injected in to their and their children’s bodies. She also provides private patient advocacy services for families who feel they are being bullied, mistreated, or unheard while receiving care in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Newborn, and NICU units.
