From The Anarchists to Art: Support Rootless Renegade’s New Chapter

Hey there,

A bit of a different voice this time, you all know me as Lily Forester, or more recently as I have regained my birth identity, Miranda Webb.  I first became involved in Anarchapulco in 2016 when me and my partner at the time who you all know as John Galton crash landed into Acapulco just days before the event. Jeff told us via email several weeks before when we asked for his help on how to cross without papers that we would be set if we made it to Acapulco in time as far as coming to the conference was concerned.

And many of you have followed as I shared my story first on Steemit in those early days, and eventually on the HBO series known as The Anarchists as one of the main “characters”. Funny to think of myself as a character, but here we are.  It has been a pleasure to be involved with Anarchapulco and watch it grow over the years. In many ways, I have grown up with the conference.

Today I’m here to share with you Rootless Renegade, a collaborative creative project Im doing with UlyXYZ, who has been the designer of Anarchapulco’s NFTs since 2022 among his many notable art projects within our community. After many years of being told “your life should be a comic book”, we’ve finally started actually doing that.

This year, at Anarchapulco, we debuted the first chapter in a limited print series called Love at First Smokeout. This chronicled in a fantasy cottagecore dreamworld like depiction the meeting of John Galton, also known as Shane Cress. For those who weren’t at Anarchapulco, you can catch that here in PDF for instant download on the site.

We are rapidly approaching the release of our next issue, The Border Crossing. We told this story in short format on Steemit, but now you will be able to see it in greater detail with visual depiction.

In Rootless Renegade, follow Bloom (Bloom is the name I came up with for my character), a spirited axolotl weaving through a whimsical world of mushroom hovels and starlit streams, fleeing a world of cages for unshackled freedom in Mexico.

In the upcoming chapter, The Border Crossing, her heart races at Tijuana’s twilight frontier, joined by loyal companions and a scrappy pup. Will cunning outwit the looming shadows of control? With Uly’s vibrant art combined with my incredible story and writing, this tale of defiance and chosen family blooms in a vivid, cottagecore odyssey.

On the 28th of this month, we will release the PDF to people who sign up for the presale by then and up the price, which for now it just sits at 9 USD. You can also purchase merch including a mug, shirt, and even a dress designed by me.

Please consider supporting this independent art project to help me continue to tell my story in this beautiful way. And look for both Uly and I next year at Anarchapulco where we will have limited stock print copies of these and other goodies including crochet plushies made to look like Bloom. For us, the sky is the limit and we are even considering the possibility of playing cards, trading cards and other branded useful material with the artwork by Uly inspired by my life.

The beauty of Anarchapulco for me always has and will be in the connections made at the conference. Its not just about the speeches but about the people who you meet who become chosen family, friends and often like with this business partners. Rootless Renegade is literally in essence a story and project that would not exist without Anarchapulco.

If you’ve been considering coming to Anarchapulco for years but haven’t because you aren’t sure if its worth it, let this be your sign. From the retreats to the conference itself this event singlehandedly changed the course of my life and many of those around me, forever.  Go to anarchapulco.com/tickets and get your presales for 2026 when we move to Puerto Vallarta to make it easier for all of you to access. Prices go up sometime around Liberpulco, so act fast.

If you want to hear more about my story, how it changed after The Anarchists series came out, please check out the latest NonConformist Series: Freedom Hacking edition replay. I speak halfway through day one to talk about this project and the other ways Ive managed to find freedom in an unfree world. There’s also a bundle available, which is an incredible value and has all 5 NonConformist series events in one.

Anyway, that’s my message. Thank you all to those who have already supported me in the years past. You helped me “Bloom.”

Miranda (Lily Forester) Renee Webb
