The Anarchapulco team isn’t wasting any time putting together ascenDANCE for 2025, after finishing up #Liberpulco in Serbia just a few weeks ago. Neither should you! February is ONLY 5 months away & before you know it, you’ll be wondering how it’s Valentine’s day already!
Anarchapulco has attracted a certain type of person over the years. The rebel, the anarchist, the lawless, the voluntaryist, the non-conformists, vigilantes, & other interesting characters. I think the important thing to note here IS that this conference has been a place of gathering for people who’ve always known they were different, they were outsiders in their family or social circles from whence they came. We’re on to our 11th year.
Is Anarchapulco the place to be in order to connect with your tribe? Will you find your soul sisters & brothers? Your twin-flame or soulmate? Who knows? What we do know is, Mother Mexico, Mama Gaia, Mamma Mia! It’s the place to go if you want to go on a spiritual journey! It’s a MAGICAL place for most who’ve come.
Mexico definitely gets a bad rap from the international community. If you’ve ever watched any movies which include Mexico City, you’ll see images of the shady stuff. Even the filters that are used make it look dirty & dingy! In my opinion, Mexico City is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, & I’ve been to many! While I can’t defend its politics and cartels, there’s so much more to it than that! The souls of the Mexican people are some of the sweetest, most generous, & kindest I’ve known.
You’ll find that spirituality is deeply rooted in the culture of the people. The indigenous people have in many cases been able to hold on to their customs, religions, traditions and are able to share those with us. You’ll be able to experience both the old world and the new. You’ll be able to dance to the rhythmic drums & engage with plant medicines, if you want. You’ll be able to bask in the Mexican sun, & find your personal strength and power. We can’t promise this, but many of us have been returning to Mexico for years! Many of us have moved or are planning to move to Mexico.
The traditions are ancient The Aztecs, Mayans, Nahuas & other bands, tribes, communities still survive and thrive. The indigenous peoples still make up about 10% of the Mexican population and have their healers who continue to pass on their knowledge and help “US”, the others through bodywork, breath work, & get us all detoxed and sweaty in their temazcals. If you’ve never done temazcal, it is a MUST. You might have delulus like I did & out of mind & body experiences, all without any psychedelics!
Let’s also give homage to Mexican cuisine! If you’re from the US or Canada, you might’ve eaten at “Taco Hell” & suffered Montezuma's revenge a time or two. Eating street tacos, buying corn tortillas by the dozens and mole should be on the list of things to do. The food is fantastic and you can modify your spice levels. If not, you’ll be dancing and begging for milk or yogurt to soothe the burn.
Is Mother Mexico calling you home yet? If the rituals like limpia(Energy cleansing), plant medicine, temescal and cuisine aren’t compelling you to come to Mexico & to Acapulco yet, then I know that you’ll want to know, that change can & will happen for you, here, with us, in Acapulco.
