EARTHSHIP-INSPIRED UPDATE
Great news! We are moving along confidently with our goal of developing the 6 principles of Earthship off-grid autonomy, educating children on stateless life essentials, and eventually benefiting charity. We are at the halfway mark. In 2027 (tentatively), we will reach all of our goals (we are achieving one of the six Earthship principles every year; 2021-2027).
In 2021, we decided to undertake the herculean challenge of developing the 6 principles of Earthships (off-grid water, off-grid energy, building with repurposed materials, sewage treatment, food production, and stable temperature). We decided to do this so that more freedom oriented people could live independently of government run life essentials. We can confidently claim to have 3 principles achieved, with the next 3 in development. We have plenty of clean off-grid water and energy flowing, and lots of repurposed building materials being used.

It has been an incredible adventure developing and spreading off-grid knowledge. Even the mainstream media invited us to talk about decentralization on Vice News. Interesting moment :)!
We are most proud of our work with teaching this new knowledge to young people! For several years now we have been teaching young minds how to handle simple water and energy without the state, as well as how to turn trash into treasure with our glass bottle brick and eco brick creation class. This is only the beginning! For the last 2 years, we have built a relationship with Anarchapulco’s Family Camp, where we teach this stuff every year to kids for free. A common criticism of the younger generation is that they are not knowledgeable on self-reliance. We are changing that by educating young minds about decentralization! Also, our portable off-grid water filtering system was able to provide hundreds of liters of clean drinking water for many local people in Acapulco during the Hurricane Otis/grid-down disaster. As well, a destitute local family (who live adjacent to our work), was able to use some of our water system for water storage during this terrible emergency. Thank you to all of you for helping make this humble success happen! We are now in a position to help out exponentially more in future emergencies.
Sadly, Acapulco has been hit with a seemingly endless number of disasters in recent years. This has been a mild setback for our fledgling project. As fate would have it, our original simple structure was not meant to be (due to flooding). This small and rudimentary structure had to be discarded. However, and most importantly, we did develop and keep our off-grid systems, tools, and knowledge. The off-grid energy and water systems are the heart and soul of the project and we still have that stuff (now portable). We also now know how to handle garbage and sewage without authority. The hard part is finished. Our work has survived the storms (literally and figuratively). Now we are correcting course. In my Anarchapulco presentation in 2021, I explained that developing the 6 principles was the key goal and that our final structure would be simple and bare bones. The principles and systems are what matter. We will take our time before putting it all under one roof.
Our new goal is to either retrofit our off grid systems or to just decentralize the systems into independent works (again, see https://www.earthshipinspiredanarchy.com/ for more details). Plenty of great ideas for finishing. We want to take our time and do it as best as possible. Onwards and upwards!
