Otis: One Year Later…
Hello Freedom Warriors and Brave Storm Survivors!
Today's post marks the 1 Year Anniversary of the unfortunate relationship between Hurricane Otis and Acapulco.
Hurricane Otis was a Frankenstorm type of Hurricane and Acapulco stood bravely, survived its wrath, and built back stronger and smarter. It was a monster of a “wind storm” that most witnesses believe was not your ordinary Tropical Storm.
It formed on October 22nd, 2023 and it was waved off as just your “ordinary” Tropical Storm that likely won't make landfall. A few days later on October 24th it “grew" from a Tropical Storm to a Category 5 overnight. Otis struck Acapulco on the early hours of October 25th, when everyone was at their most vulnerable state. It became the “nightmare” that nobody wanted to wake up to. It came out of “nowhere” in record time and is now known as the worst Hurricane to happen in Acapulco’s history.

Fast forwarding to the wellbeing and status of Acapulco today, the locals and Anarchapulcanos stand strong and brave once again in the aftermath of having had to recover from another Frankenstorm, Hurricane John.
Hurricane John might as well have been named Hurricane “Boomerang” because it had done just that. Have you ever heard of a Hurricane making landfall, going back out to the ocean to then “decide” it wasn't finished, then make landfall once again? I think these Hurricanes are starting to have a “mind” of their own rather than just having an “eye”. Climate change, eh? As for what the next weapon of choice “They” may have up “Their” sleeves, we need to keep a closer eye on these HAARPicanes, sorry Frankenstorms.
A huge thank you goes out to Jeff Berwick and the Anarchapulcanos who were “boots-on-the-ground” as well as at a distance for helping in the recovery from Hurricance Otis and less than a year later, Hurricane John. For those that received the warning notices, thank you for taking the extra precautions and helping those that were less fortunate, though not everyone was lucky enough to hear it in time. We share a moment of silence and utmost respect for the unfortunate ones that did not get the chance to wake up from the nightmare. It's our purposeful role to keep on “Being” our best, and “Living” onwards in memoriam for them.*
